Growing.... Connecting.... Serving....
Habitat for Humanity
Building on the 2010 Habitat for Humanity house will soon start. In April, Blue Spruce Habitat for Humanity will begin a new project for a family in Evergreen. While Thrivent is not involved with the project this year, we hope many of you WILL be. Keep an eye on the www.bluesprucehabitat.org website for opportunities to volunteer. We will also be scheduling specific ELC days on the work site; we will let you know when they are.
Fall Adult Mission Trip
We are also planning another fall Adult Mission trip this year. It looks like it will be to the Gulf Coast, to Biloxi, Mississippi or Galveston, Texas. Let Cristen Brandt know if you may be interested. Plan for a fun and fulfilling time during the first week of November. Cost will be close to $500; we will do some fundraising to offset costs.
Serving at Christ Body Ministries
On Saturday, April 24, we'll be heading downtown to serve lunch at Christ
Body Ministries. We'll need twelve volunteers to help serve and many volunteers to provide food. Families are encouraged to help. If you can help, please contact Shelley Harmon at 303-653-2732.
Piecemakers
This ELC group meets weekly on Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. to sew prayer quilts
to be handed out in supportive ministry. If interested, contact Elaine Sohrweid at 303-674-3491.
Men's Breakfast
ELC men meet every other Monday for breakfast at church or a local restaurent. The men will be getting together on March 1, 13, and 29. If interested, contact Hans Heuer at 303-526-0151.
SERVING OTHERS
Consider joining one of the following committees/groups: Senior Ministry, Kitchen Committee, Middle School Girls Choir, Adult Choir, Glory Ringers, REV-Up. Or help with Sunday morning worship as an usher, lesson reader, communion server or greeter.
